Terms of service

The marketplace lets software vendors list products and run partner programs, and lets partners — affiliates, referral partners, sales partners and agencies — join those programs and earn commission on sales they help make. The marketplace verifies sales reported by vendors, attributes them to partners, calculates commissions on an append-only ledger and pays partners out.

Customers buy software from the vendor, on the vendor’s terms and invoice. The marketplace is not a party to that sale and does not collect customer payments.

• You must give accurate information and keep it up to date, keep your password safe, and tell us about any unauthorised use. Each person uses their own login; organisation owners manage their team’s access.
• You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract for the business you represent.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, a program’s rules or the law, or that show signs of fraud. Suspension does not delete financial records.

• Vendors are reviewed before their products and programs go live and must keep their business details and documents current.
• A vendor sets its program’s commission rules, cookie window, deal protection and hold periods, approval mode and traffic policy, and is responsible for the commissions those rules produce on the sales it reports.
• A vendor must report payments, refunds and chargebacks for attributed customers accurately and promptly through the integration API. Deliberately not reporting attributed sales is a breach of these terms.
• How and when vendors fund commissions and any platform fee is set out in [vendor agreement / commercial terms]. Current terms are on the pricing page.

• Partners may promote a program only after being approved to it, and only through the channels its traffic policy allows.
• Partners must not buy through their own links (self-referral), use misleading claims, spam, incentivised traffic where it is not allowed, bid on a vendor’s trademarks where it is not allowed, or share a payout account between accounts.
• Partners are responsible for their own taxes and for any disclosures the law requires when they recommend products.

How sales are attributed, how commissions move from pending to paid, holds, refunds, chargebacks, disputes and withdrawals are described in the commission policy, which forms part of these terms. Each program’s own terms, which you accept when you join it, also apply.

Vendors are responsible for their listings; partners for their reviews and promotional material. Reviews must be honest and based on real experience of the program. We may hide content that breaks these terms. You keep your rights in your content and give us the licence needed to show it on the marketplace.

API keys are confidential and belong to the vendor that created them. Requests must be signed as documented. We may rate-limit or revoke keys that are misused or leaked.
